Venture into Colombia's coffee-growing region to explore Filandia and Salento. Also, get your backpack ready for a walk in the Cocora Valley, a natural, green paradise.

Description

After picking you up at your hotel, we'll leave Pereira for a 50-minute drive through the Colombian coffee region.

Our first destination will be Cocora Valley. In this natural paradise, we'll walk among the greenery and discover the story of the Princess Cocora. We will visit 3 viewpoints to admire the typical landscape and learn about the Wax Palm.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy lunch before heading to Salento, an Antioquian-style town known for its lively streets and colourful facades. We will walk through the Calle Real, the heart of the town.

Continuing our walk, we will find the Camino del Quindío, traditionally linking Cartago and Ibagué. The neighboring town of Filandia holds the Camino del Quindío Festival, where locals reenact historical events.

The best panoramic views of Salento can be seen from the Alto de la Cruz viewpoint. We will also visit La Colina Iluminada for scenic views of Quindio. Our next stop will be Filandia, for a 2-hour guided tour through its charming streets, including the Street of Stopped Time, Central Park, Templo María Inmaculada, and the Museo de los Abuelos.

Finally, we will return to Pereira and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding a 9-hour tour.
