Venture into Colombia's coffee-growing region to explore Filandia and Salento, along with a walk in the Cocora Valley.
Description
After picking you up at your hotel, we will depart Pereira for a 50-minute drive through the Colombian coffee region.
Our first stop will be Cocora Valley. Here, we will walk through its greenery and learn about the Wax Palm. We will visit 3 different viewpoints to enjoy the landscape.
Following our time in Cocora, we will have lunch and travel to Salento, a town known for its lively streets and colorful facades. We will explore the Calle Real, the town's main thoroughfare.
As we continue, we’ll discover the Camino del Quindío, a historical route linked to the region's culture. The Alto de la Cruz viewpoint offers the best panoramic views of Salento.
Next, we will stop at La Colina Iluminada for views of Quindio before heading to Filandia. Here, we will embark on a 2-hour guided tour of the town, visiting significant sites such as the Central Park and the Templo María Inmaculada church, and learning about basket weaving at the Museo de los Abuelos.
Finally, we will return to Pereira and drop you off at your accommodation after 9 hours of travel.
