La Virginia & El Guásimo Excursion

We'll pick you up at 7:30 am at your hotel in Pereira and set off in the direction of La Virginia, located 35 kilometers away.

On the way, we'll first stop at the El Guásimo Natural Reserve, which occupies 1,400 hectares of the Cauca River Valley. Here, we'll go on a three-hour walk along the nature trail that runs through the park.

Once we reach the Cauca River, we'll follow its course for an hour, crossing the lush vegetation of the dry tropical forest. This forest is unique to the Andean region, emphasizing the park's importance in protecting its 400 hectares.

As we make our way through the park, we'll observe the great diversity of flora and fauna in this protected area. The visit combines sport, nature, and environmental preservation.

During the tour, there will be a break for lunch, consisting of a regional dish and a drink. We will then complete the journey to La Virginia, a town surrounded by the Cauca and Risaralda rivers, where you will learn about its main attractions, local legends, and traditions.

Finally, we'll return to Pereira and drop you off at your hotel around 1:30 pm.
