On our private tour of Pereira, you'll visit the main sights and learn about the culture of this city in the heart of the Colombian Coffee Triangle, accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
Private Tour of Pereira
After picking you up from your hotel at your chosen time, we will embark on a guided tour of Pereira. This city is located 155 miles (250 kilometers) from the capital Bogotá in the Coffee Triangle.
Your guide will take you to notable locations of historical and cultural significance, starting with Avenida Circunvalar, known as the 'pink zone', featuring shops, bars, hotels, and restaurants.
Next, we will visit Plaza de Bolívar, the city's main shopping area, where you'll see the Bolívar Desnudo monument.
Nearby is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Poverty, a neoclassical building that has undergone renovations after two earthquakes. Inside, you can see 13,503 wooden planks supporting the ceiling.
Our tour continues to Plaza de la Concordia, also known as Parque Lago Uribe, which was historically a site of celebrations and battles, now containing public buildings, restaurants, and shops.
During the tour, your guide will discuss the history of the Coffee Triangle and local customs, with opportunities to sample local flavors, including coffee.
After approximately 3 hours of touring Pereira, you will return to your hotel. We look forward to your visit!
