Wave Rock & York Tour
At 8 am, we'll meet at the Crown Perth Hotel to begin the tour. Our journey will take us towards Hyden, home to significant geographical features. We will traverse the hills around Perth and move into the agricultural area of the region.
Our first stop will be in York, the oldest township in the Avon Valley. Here, we will explore the town's history associated with the gold rush and cattle raising, observing its unique buildings.
The tour will then continue along the Wheatbelt Way, passing through the farming villages of Corrigin and Kondinin. We will also view the Dog Cemetery from our vehicle.
Next, we will pause for lunch at your own expense in a restaurant before heading to Wave Rock, a sacred site for the aborigines known for its stunning stone formations.
Before returning to Perth, we will visit Mulka Cave to see cave paintings depicting an Aboriginal legend.
We will conclude the excursion back at the meeting point at approximately 8:30 pm.
