Peso da Régua Tile Painting Workshop
We'll meet at 9:30 am at the Marta Barata Studio, Shop and School of Peso da Régua, where our tile painting workshop will take place.
In the 15th century, Arabic influence made the Al-zuleique fashionable in Portugal, becoming a characteristic element of Portuguese architecture. Before we start, we'll see a selection of tiles featuring figurative, ornamental and pattern designs.
After learning about the history of this art form, we'll begin painting. After finishing your piece, it will be fired in the urn, concluding the workshop. If desired, the tiles can be sent to your home.
