Come and discover the capital and commercial heart of the Dutch island of St. Maarten on this guided tour of Philipsburg. You'll explore the city's colourful streets and beach with turquoise blue waters.

Description

At the scheduled time we'll meet at the parking lot of the cruise terminal in Philipsburg. Our guided tour of the capital of Sint Maarten will begin from there.

Our walking tour includes a stop at the Amsterdam Cheese and Liquor Store, a renowned Dutch cheese shop. Guests are encouraged to purchase some products.

Next, we will head to the Sint Maarten Museum, which features photos and objects reflecting the island's history. St. Maarten has been divided between France in its northern region and The Netherlands in its southern region since the 17th century.

Following this, we'll visit the Guavaberry Emporium and the St. Maarten People's National Liquor Factory, interestingly located on the site of a former synagogue abandoned in 1781.

We'll also view the façade of the Yoda Guy Movie Exhibit Museum, where special effects designer Nick Maley showcases props and costumes from the Star Wars movies.

Lastly, we will take a stroll along the seafront, concluding our guided visit at the Courthouse, the Philipsburg House of Justice, after approximately 2 hours.
