Phnom Penh to Siem Reap: 5 Day Tour of Cambodia

Day 1: Phnom Penh - Kompong Cham

The tour begins in Phnom Penh with an hour's drive to the port. Guests will board a traditional boat to Silk Island to learn about silk production. After returning, we will drive two hours to Kompong Cham for a guided city tour, lunch with local specialties, and visits to Wat Nokor Temple, Phnom Pros Monastery, and the mountaintop pagoda of Phnom Srey. An evening visit to the Keung Kok fabric factory will conclude the day.

Day 2: Kompong Cham - Kompong Thom

After breakfast, a three-hour drive through the central Cambodian landscapes leads to Kompong Thom. A city stroll includes local architecture and food stalls, followed by lunch. The tour continues to Prasar Sambor Prei Kuk Archaeological Park, a UNESCO site with ancient temples amidst jungle overgrowth. We'll return to Kompong Thom for the night.

Day 3: Kompong Thom - Siem Reap

After breakfast, we'll visit the central market in Kompong Thom and then travel three hours to Siem Reap, stopping for lunch at Kompong Kleang, where we will explore the floating houses on Tonlé Sap Lake. Arrival in Siem Reap will conclude the day's journey.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Angkor Archaeological Park

After breakfast, we'll explore Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire, including visiting Ta Nei, followed by lunch. The tour will proceed to Angkor Thom to see the South Gate, Terrace of the Elephants, and various temples. We'll finish the day watching the sunset over Angkor Wat Temple.

Day 5: Siem Reap - Angkor Archaeological Park - Siem Reap

The final day starts at 4:30 am, returning to Angkor Wat for sunrise. Afterward, we will explore the park, including Preah Khan, then enjoy breakfast. Further visits to Neak Pean and Ta Som will follow, with lunch near Angkor Wat. The afternoon is free for further exploration before concluding the tour in Siem Reap.
