Take a samlor to Changkasem National Museum. After exploring the museum and learning something about Ayutthaya’s history, walk to the pier and take a small long-tail boat around Ayutthaya and enjoy the many historic sights along the way.
Make stops at a local handicraft house where, using palm leaves, the family make replicas of the fish that is the symbol of Ayutthaya and afterward at Wat Choeng Tha, famous for its mural which has recently been restored following the floods in 2012. Finish the boat trip at Ko Loy, a small island in the Pasak River. Take a walk around the island to see the temples, Wat Kae, and Wat Monthop.
Have lunch at a restaurant in a traditional family house that has been the home for four generations of the proprietor’s family. Cross by local ferry back to the mainland to explore Hua Ro Market.
Afterward, after all the walking, enjoy a relaxing foot massage given by blind masseuses.
