On this boat tour, we'll cruise the canals of Bangkok and visit the Wat Paknam temple to see the Big Buddha.

Tour Details

We will meet at Elefin Coffee on Maha Rat Street at the scheduled time. After a brief introduction, we’ll head to the pier to start our boat trip through the canals of Bangkok, exploring its lesser-known areas.

We will board a traditional long-tail boat for the ride, during which we will discuss local life and enduring traditions.

Our first stop will be the Artist's House (Baan Silapin), a 200-year-old residence that now serves as a museum of Thai art. We will explore this historically significant and well-preserved site.

Next, we will visit Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, located on the banks of the Bangkok Yai canal. Here, we can see the impressive Big Buddha, which stands at 60 metres (196 ft) tall and was completed in 2021. During our visit, we’ll explain the temple's name and its connection to the canals.

After 2 hours, we will return to the starting point to conclude the boat tour.

Partial Closures

Due to ongoing construction until June 2025, we can only view the Big Buddha from the outside.
