Get ready for a unique journey to the heart of the land of tobacco on this cigar tour from Pinar del Río. You'll get to taste an authentic Havana cigar!

Description

At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Pinar del Río. The tour focuses on tobacco, allowing us to discover the land where the finest cigars in the world are produced. We will learn about the culture, traditions and harvesting techniques involved in this Cuban product.

We start with a visit to the Francisco Donatien cigar factory, where craftsmen create some of Pinar del Río's most exquisite cigars, including Trinidad and Vegueros.

Next, we will visit a despalillo area, where tobacco leaves are deveined and selected based on their quality, size and texture, highlighting the significance of this step in making cigars.

We'll continue to the DeCuba "Arte en Madera" workshop for a detailed view of the creation of humidors, essential for preserving the aroma and flavour of cigars.

Our route will lead to the Vega Quemado de Rubí estate in San Juan y Martínez, where we will observe the hand-twisting of tobacco leaves. We will conclude with trying a traditional cigar and examining the unique flavours of Cuban cigars.

The experience will be rounded off with a traditional lunch and a refreshing cocktail at the Vega Quemado estate. Between 5 to 6 hours later, we will return to your accommodation in Pinar del Río.
