Lipica & Skocjan Caves Tour

At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Piran and drive northeast for 50 minutes to Lipica, the birthplace of the famous Lipizzaner horses.

We will visit one of the most important stud farms in Slovenia, where we will learn about this iconic horse breed, bred here for over 400 years and considered a historical and cultural monument. We will discover the characteristics of Lipizzaner horses, their importance, and their care in Lipica.

You will have the opportunity to get close to the horses, visit the Lipikum Museum, and if you wish, attend a show featuring these majestic creatures.

After exploring the Lipica stud farm and the horses, we will travel to the Skocjan Caves. We will visit the interior of these impressive caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire the karst formations developed over the years along the Reka River.

The tour will end at 2 pm back at your hotel in Piran.
