Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle Half Day Tour

Pick-up will be at your hotel in Portorož at 9 am. The journey takes us northeast for 44 miles to the Postojna Cave, the most famous karst cave in Europe.

In the cave, you'll see remarkable rock formations like stalactites and stalagmites, and encounter the unique cave-dwelling creature known as olms, or 'dragon's offspring'.

Exploration continues on a little train that will highlight features like the Murano glass chandeliers and the ballroom.

After 90 minutes, we will proceed to Predjama Castle, a fortress located 120 meters high on a cliff. It is the only cave castle in Europe and the largest rock-carved castle globally.

Only a fifteen-minute ride from Postojna Cave, we will visit the fortress, exploring its rooms and learning about stories like the legend of Erasmus of Predjama, the Slovenian Robin Hood.

At the end of the guided tour, we will return to the minibus and head back to Portorož, with drop-off at your hotel around 3 pm.
