Guided Tour of the Cathedral + Leaning Tower
The tour begins in Piazza Manin, in front of the Porta Santa Maria Arch, which serves as the entrance to the Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring many famous monuments in Pisa. The tour includes visits to St. John's Baptistery, the largest in Italy, with its Romanesque architecture and Gothic dome. Participants will also learn about the architecture as they walk along the cemetery walls before entering the cathedral for a guided tour that begins with its construction in the 11th century. The tour covers the church's history and artistic features, including mosaics, paintings, a detailed tiled ceiling, marble sculptures, and a grand pulpit.
Climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa
During the booking process, you can opt to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which is a 30-minute unguided visit. Tickets provided will allow access to the top of the bell tower for views while avoiding long lines at the entrance.
Children Under 8
For safety reasons, children under 8 may not climb the leaning tower. The tower is also not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
