Pisa Food Tour
At 11:30 am we'll meet in Piazza Garibaldi, next to the Garibaldi statue, where our local guide will be waiting for us. This gastronomic expert will accompany us on a discovery of Pisa's culinary tradition.
We'll start by strolling through the streets of the historic centre, exploring traditional flavours of the local cuisine. Participants can enjoy a platter of Tuscan cheeses and cold cuts with wine at one of the oldest wine shops in Pisa. A portion of cecina, a thin focaccia made with chickpea flour, is also included.
During the tour, we will visit restaurants known only to locals, tasting typical dishes of Pisa's gastronomy, such as Tuscan soup, mucco pisano, sausage with beans all'uccelletto, and ribollita, a traditional dish made with bread and vegetables.
To conclude, we will enjoy ice cream with refined flavours made from local and seasonal products. After 3 hours 30 minutes of exploring culinary traditions, the tour will end.
