Join the excursion to the Certosa di Padula and visit one of the most significant Baroque monuments in southern Italy!

Certosa di Padula Tour

After meeting at your selected point, we will set off to Padula, home to the Certosa di San Lorenzo, a monastery declared a World Heritage Site in 1998. Explore it with an expert guide.

Upon arrival at the religious complex, known as the Padula Charterhouse, we will first observe its impressive Baroque façade, a predominant style throughout the building, despite construction starting in the 14th century.

We will then enter the monastic complex to visit its various spaces, totaling around 350 rooms. This monastery is particularly renowned for its Great Cloister from the late 18th century, covering 15,000 square meters.

During the guided tour of the Carthusian Monastery of Padula, we will explore the chapels and the church, admiring 16th and 18th-century frescoes. We will also see the working areas, including the laundries, cellars, and kitchen, providing insight into the life of the Carthusian monks.

Finally, we will return to Pisciotta, where we will accompany you back to your hotel or to the meeting point after four hours of excursion.
