Join the excursion to the Certosa di Padula and visit one of the notable Baroque monuments in southern Italy!

Certosa di Padula Tour

After meeting at the selected point, we'll head to Padula, home to the Certosa di San Lorenzo, a monastery designated as a World Heritage Site in 1998. An expert guide will accompany us throughout the exploration.

Upon arrival at the religious complex, also known as the Padula Charterhouse, we will view its Baroque façade, the prevalent style of the structure, despite the monastery's construction beginning in the 14th century.

We will enter the monastic complex to explore approximately 350 rooms. A notable feature is the Great Cloister from the late 18th century, spanning 15,000 square meters.

During the guided tour of the Carthusian Monastery of Padula, we will visit various chapels and the church, where we'll see 16th and 18th-century frescoes, as well as work-related areas such as laundries, cellars, and the kitchen, providing insight into the life of the Carthusian monks.

After four hours of excursion, we will return to Pisciotta and provide transportation back to your hotel or to the meeting point.
