Leave Pisciotta behind for this excursion to Paestum, one of the most significant archaeological sites in Italy!

Paestum Tour

After meeting at your selected point, we will travel by minibus to the archaeological site of Paestum, home to three Doric temples dedicated to Hera and Athena.

Upon arrival in Paestum, we will walk through the archaeological park to learn about its origins. The ancient city of Magna Graecia was founded as Poseidonia, honoring Poseidon. First, we will visit the Temple of Hera I, a Doric building from 550 BC dedicated to the goddess of family and fertility. Next, we will explore the Temple of Neptune, also known as the Temple of Hera II, recognized as the largest temple in Paestum. We will then check out the Temple of Athena, previously referred to as the Temple of Ceres.

Following our site visits, we will proceed to the park's museum to discover the extensive collection of artifacts uncovered during excavations, including pottery, weapons, frescoed tombstones, and grave goods from the Greek and Lucanian necropolis.

We will also admire the renowned frescoes of the Tomb of the Diver, the only surviving example of Greek painting featuring figurative scenes.

After four hours of exploration, we will return to Pisciotta and take you back to the starting point.
