Leave Pisciotta behind for this excursion to Paestum, one of the most significant archaeological sites in Italy!

Paestum Tour

After meeting at your selected point, we'll travel by minibus to the archaeological site of Paestum, where we will discover three Doric temples dedicated to Hera and Athena.

Upon arrival, we will begin to walk through the archaeological park to learn about its origins as the city of Magna Graecia, founded as Poseidonia. The first site will be the Temple of Hera I, a Doric structure from 550 BC dedicated to the goddess of family and fertility.

Next, we will visit the Temple of Neptune (also known as Temple of Hera II), the largest temple in Paestum, followed by the Temple of Athena, formerly referred to as the Temple of Ceres.

After exploring the archaeological site, we will head to the park's museum, where we will examine a vast collection of artifacts from the excavations, including pottery, weapons, frescoed tombstones, and grave goods from the Greek and Lucanian necropolis.

We will also view the renowned frescoes of the Tomb of the Diver, the only surviving example of Greek painting with figurative scenes.

After four hours of exploration, we will return to Pisciotta and take you back to the starting point.
