Pisciotta Guided Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Via Borgo to begin a guided tour of Pisciotta. We'll explore the historic center starting from Piazza Pinto, leading to the Palazzo Marchesale, the birthplace of bishop Luigi Pappacoda, a key promoter of the Leccese Baroque style in the late 17th century.

Next, we'll visit two noble chapels and the Chiesa Madre, a 16th-century temple with relics and frescoes from the 18th century. Our guide will provide insights into the Cilento uprisings of 1840 and their impact on Pisciotta's history, exploring the line between truth and legend.

In the final segment of the tour, we'll visit a local craft workshop to learn about traditional crafts and participate in a small tasting of local products. This engaging hour-and-a-half walking tour will conclude with free time for shopping.
