Roccagloriosa Excursion

On this excursion to Roccagloriosa, we will visit a village located north of Monte Bulgheria, where, according to legend, the parents of comedian Totò met.

After meeting at 5 pm on Via Borgo, we will depart from Pisciotta towards the south of the Campania region, specifically towards Cilento National Park, situated between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro.

Roccagloriosa is nestled on a hillside, surrounded by scenic views. To get there, we will cross the northern part of Mount Bulgheria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, allowing for views of Mount Bulirla from the bus.

Upon arrival, we will stroll through the streets to observe the village's emblematic sites while learning about its history, which dates back to the 13th century. A visit to the antique shop and the Civic Museum, containing several archaeological pieces, will reveal that the town's origins are even older.

During the tour, we will see several noble palaces and discuss the famous Totò, whose birth is linked to the secret love between his mother, Anna Clemente, and Marquis De Curtis.

We'll also tour the ruins of the castle of Roccagloriosa and visit several churches.

Finally, we will return to Pisciotta and drop you off at the starting point at 9 pm.
