Roccagloriosa Excursion

On this excursion to Roccagloriosa we'll visit a village located north of Monte Bulgheria where, according to legend, the parents of comedian Totò met.

Roccagloriosa Excursion

After meeting at 5 pm on Via Borgo, we'll depart from Pisciotta towards the Cilento National Park, nestled between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro.

Roccagloriosa is located on a hillside, surrounded by scenic views. To reach it, we'll cross the northern part of Mount Bulgheria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can see Mount Bulirla from the bus.

Once in Roccagloriosa, we'll explore its streets, learning about its history dating back to the 13th century. A visit to the antique shop and the Civic Museum will reveal that the town is even older.

During the tour, we'll observe several noble palaces and discuss Totò, reputed to be born from a secret love affair between his mother and the Marquis De Curtis.

We'll also visit the ruins of the castle of Roccagloriosa and some of its churches.

Finally, we'll return to Pisciotta, arriving back at the starting point at 9 pm.
