Roccagloriosa Excursion

After meeting at 5 pm on Via Borgo, we'll leave Pisciotta and head to the south of the Campania region, specifically towards Cilento National Park, located between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro.

We'll find the village of Roccagloriosa nestled on a hillside, surrounded by scenic views, where every corner captures the past. To get there, we'll cross the northern part of Mount Bulgheria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with opportunities to see Mount Bulirla from the bus.

Once in Roccagloriosa, we'll stroll through its streets to explore its emblematic locations while learning about the history of this municipality, which dates back to the 13th century. Yet, during visits to the antique shop and the Civic Museum, we will discover that the town's origins are even older.

During the tour, we'll see several noble palaces and discuss Totò, known as one of the best Italian comedians. Legend states he was born from the secret love between his mother, Anna Clemente, and Marquis De Curtis.

We will then visit the ruins of the castle of Roccagloriosa and explore some of its churches.

Finally, we'll return to Pisciotta and drop you off at the starting point at 9 pm.
