White Water Rafting on the River Tummel
Meet your guide at the scheduled time at the entrance to Scottish & Southern Energy in Pitlochry. On the banks of the River Tummel, the guide will explain basic rafting techniques and provide equipment. Following this, participants will put the theory into practice.
During the rafting journey, there will be quiet stretches of water to admire the surrounding countryside, as well as lively river rapids. Participants will navigate between rocks, around obstacles, and descend a 16-foot (5 metre) waterfall. The experience will prepare them to face the Zig Zag and Shark's Tooth, the steepest rapids on the river.
After two hours of white water rafting, the group will return to the original departure point, concluding the activity.
