Cockscomb Jaguar Sanctuary Day Excursion
Your adventure begins as we pick you up from your hotel in Placencia at the arranged time. We will then travel to one of Belize's most stunning protected regions: the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Our exploration starts at the renowned jaguar sanctuary, where you will gain insights into one of the key conservation initiatives for felines in the Caribbean. This sanctuary is home to more than 200 jaguars thriving in their expansive jungle environment.
Following our jaguar observation, we will embark on a brief walk within the reserve, allowing you to appreciate the stunning landscapes of the eastern slopes of the Maya Mountains. We will then pause to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst nature.
After our meal, we will continue our trek through the Cockscomb rainforest until we reach one of the striking waterfalls. Here, you'll have a half-hour to refresh yourself in the waterfall and revel in the picturesque surroundings.
Finally, we will retrace our route back and take the highway leading to Placencia, with an expected return to your hotel by 3:30 pm.
