The Blue Cave is the most interesting and beautiful natural attraction of this kind in the whole Mediterranean. It is located on the Luštica peninsula, between the Golden port cove and the Mokra Gora cape. It is 5.6 nautical miles away from Herceg Novi. Its name is given by a specific blue color that occurs during the sunny summer days when the sunrays are reflected from the surface of the sea and reflected in the interior of the cave through a smaller opening. The depth of the sea in the cave is between 3 and 4 meters, while the height from the sea level to the top of the arc is about 9m. Swimming in the azure blue sea of the Blue Cave is a truly unforgettable experience to which real sea and nature phenomena lovers always come back again.

Mamula is an island in the Adriatic Sea, Montenegro, at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. It is located in the Herceg Novi part of the bay, between the peninsula Luštica and Prevlaka, about 3.4 nautical miles from Herceg Novi. The largest part of the island is occupied by a fortress built in the 19th century by Austro-Hungarian general Lazar Mamula. The island, during World War II served as a notorious prison known for cruelty.

Rose is a small captain’s village located on the northwestern coast of the Luštica peninsula, opposite Herceg Novi. Rose is a typical Mediterranean place with family homes lined up along the dock – seafront. It was once the ancient Greek settlement called ‘Punto Roza’, which was destroyed by the Arabs, in 867. Since then, Rose has failed in restoring her former splendor. The importance of Rose is even mentioned in the writings of the Byzantine Emperor Constantine Porphyrogenitus in 841. Given its location and protection from the winds, Rose was used as a shelter for sailing ships.
