Zeta Plain Wine Tour

Having been picked up from your hotel at 10 am, you'll leave Podgorica and begin your tour of the Zeta Plain. This lowland area extends from the Montenegrin capital in the north to Lake Skadar in the south.

After a 20-minute drive through the plains, you'll reach the Lake Skadar National Park, a biodiversity-rich reserve home to 281 bird species and 50 mammal types. From the Pavlova Strana viewpoint, enjoy views over the scenic fjord-like landscape.

This region is known for producing the best wine in Montenegro. Your next stop is the Sofranac Winery, where you will learn about local brandy and liqueur production. You will also indulge in a tasting of 6 types of wine, 9 types of liquor, and 6 types of brandy. A typical Montenegrin lunch called meza will accompany your tasting.

After the winery visit, you'll head to Barutana to see the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the First and Second World Wars. You will return to Podgorica and have half an hour to explore the historic streets and squares, including Bulevar Svetog Petra Cetinjskog, to learn about the city's Communist history.

At 2 pm, you'll be dropped back off at your hotel in Podgorica.
