Sarangkot Day Trip
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Pokhara and journey towards the coffee plantations of Sarangkot. Our first stop is Lakeside, where we will stroll along the shores of Phewa Lake, observing local fishermen and enjoying views of the surrounding rice terraces.
We will hike uphill for two hours to reach a village with a community of coffee producers. Here, we will explore the village and the nearby coffee plantations, and have the opportunity to visit a local bee farm to taste fresh honey.
We will engage with local women's cooperatives that craft recyclable handicrafts and visit their store for handmade souvenirs.
Our exploration of the coffee plantations will allow us to learn about the cultivation of high-quality coffee. Depending on the season, we may observe arabica coffee plants flowering or local coffee growers involved in planting or harvesting.
We will also visit the coffee processing center in Khadkathar for insights into coffee seed processing, including hulling, sorting, and drying.
The day will conclude with a local lunch served at the farm. We will return to Pokhara, arriving back at your hotel approximately 5.5 hours later.
