Herculaneum Ruins Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel or selected meeting point and set off for the archaeological site of Herculaneum, one of the three Roman cities buried by the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The expedition includes exploring the cobblestone streets of the site, focusing on houses and thermal complexes that survived the pyroclastic flow. Notably, ancient Herculaneum featured a gymnasium.

During the visit, you will admire the well-preserved materials and facades of buildings while learning about the artistic styles and construction techniques of the era.

The tour will include stops at significant monuments such as the Hall of the Augustals, the baths, the House of Aristides and Neptune, the Samnite House, and the beach where over 300 individuals perished.

At the end of the visit, you will have free time to rest or have a meal before concluding the activity and returning to the starting point after 2 hours of hiking.
