Don't know what to do in Pompeii? Visiting Mount Vesuvius is essential to fully understand the history of this city. Discover this volcano and its incredible landscapes on a hike that will take you up to 1167 meters high.

Mt. Vesuvius Hike

After picking you up from your hotel at the designated time, we'll hop on a minibus and head to the Vesuvius National Park. The 1-hour 30-minute hike will take us to see the landscapes of Vesuvius from high up, climbing 167 meters to reach the top. The effort will be worth it, as we'll gaze out at panoramic views of Monte Somma.

Along the hike, we'll admire the solidified lava flows on the slopes and learn the importance of winemaking in the area. We will also revisit the eruption in 79 AD that buried Herculaneum and Pompeii.

Our path will lead us to 'La Capannuccia', where we'll see the volcanic cone emitting gas and have a view of the Gulf of Naples. We'll then start our way down to return to the minibus, concluding the activity at your hotel after a total of three hours.
