This tour reveals how the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD devastated Pompeii and Herculaneum, two prosperous cities of that era. We will meet at Via Roma and travel by minibus to Mount Vesuvius, Herculaneum, and finally Pompeii.

Mount Vesuvius, reaching over 1000 metres (3280 feet) in height, offers captivating experiences. Upon arrival, an expert volcanologist will share insights about the crater's activity and the catastrophic eruption. You will have free time to climb to the summit and enjoy views of the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrento Coast.

Next, you will explore Herculaneum, where you can walk the streets and observe life during the Ancient Roman Empire at your own pace. You will find houses, pubs, temples, and mosaics, with highlights including the forum and the mosaic from Neptune and Amphitrite's house.

After Herculaneum, you will visit the World Heritage Site of Pompeii. An audioguide in English will help you uncover the secrets of this city, destroyed by volcanic lava. As you wander, you'll see cobblestoned streets and symbolic buildings like the House of the Faun and the Basilica, alongside detailed mosaics and plaster casts of the victims.

The tour concludes after 8 hours, returning you to the starting point in Pompeii.
