At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance ramps to the Templar Castle of Ponferrada, adjacent to the Church of San Andrés.

We will begin our exploration of the castle while learning about its history. Key figures in its past include the knights of the Order of the Knights Templar. The tour will cover the origins of this religious and military organization and its connections to the El Bierzo area.

As we navigate through the castle, we will ascend to the top of its defensive towers to appreciate the views of Ponferrada and the surrounding mountains. After enjoying the vistas, we will continue our visit to other sections of the castle, taking in its grandeur.

After spending an hour and a half exploring this remarkable monument, the guided tour will conclude at the base of Moclín Tower. You will then have the opportunity to further explore the parts of the fortress that interest you at your own pace.
