Ponferrada Castle Guided Tour

Ponferrada Castle is a significant Templar fortress located in the Spanish province of León. This guided tour allows participants to explore the castle's interior and uncover its history.

Participants will meet at the entrance ramps to the Templar Castle of Ponferrada, adjacent to the Church of San Andrés, at the scheduled time.

The tour will include an exploration of the castle and its historical significance, particularly regarding the Order of the Knights Templar and its connection to the El Bierzo area.

As the tour progresses, visitors will ascend the defensive towers for views of Ponferrada and the surrounding mountains. Following the views, the tour will continue through various parts of the castle, highlighting its considerable size.

After approximately an hour and a half, the guided tour of Ponferrada Castle will conclude at the foot of the Moclín Tower. Participants will have the opportunity to explore areas of the fortress that interest them at their leisure.
