Furnas Day Trip + Gorreana Tea Plantations

Description

We'll meet on Avenida João Bosco Mota Amaral in Ponta Delgada and set off along the island's southern coastline. Our first stop will be in Vila Franca do Campo, where we can admire the Islet of Vila Franco do Campo, a large volcanic caldera located just off the coast.

Continuing inland, we will visit the calderas and lagoon of Furnas to explore the origins of various volcanic vents.

After our excursion, we will enjoy a traditional lunch at a nearby restaurant. Post-lunch, we will head north to the Gorreana tea plantations, one of the most renowned tea manufacturers in the Azores. We will sample their famous teas, appreciating their aromas and flavours with a hint of sweetness. Finally, we will return to Ponta Delgada.
