Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada and get on a jeep or minibus to drive to the coastal town of Vila Franca do Campo. This village is notable for the volcanic islet visible from its port.

We'll discover the island's natural offerings as we head to the interior. Our next stop will be Furnas, a town located within a volcanic caldera. Here, we will view its pools full of bubbling water and other natural features of the area.

After this, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Our final stop will be Gorreana's tea plantations to sample one of the island's famous infusions.

Finally, after 8 hours of touring, we'll return to Ponta Delgada.
