On this tour to Nordeste from Ponta Delgada, you will explore waterfalls and flower-covered cliffs, along with a hiking tour through Faial da Terra to admire stunning landscapes.

Nordeste Tour & Faial da Terra Hiking Tour

Pickup will be at your hotel in Ponta Delgada at 9 am. We will travel to Faial da Terra, a small area of São Miguel, to initiate our hiking route.

The hike includes walking through vegetation and mountains, passing by Sanguinho, a village that was revitalized after being abandoned in the 1970s. Next, we will proceed to Salto do Prego waterfall, where you will have time to enjoy the scenery and swim if desired. A picnic lunch with a sandwich, cake, fruit, juice, and water will be provided here.

After lunch, we will return to Faial da Terra, allowing you free time to explore the old fishing harbor before boarding the bus to Nordeste.

In Nordeste, you will witness green cliffs adorned with flowers, with highlights including Ponta do Sossego and Vista dos Barcos, which are viewpoints for appreciating natural beauty.

Our final stop will be at Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park, featuring multiple waterfalls, some reaching heights of 131 feet (40 meters). We aim to return to the starting point by approximately 4:30 pm.
