We will meet at João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada and embark on a sightseeing tour of the capital of Sao Miguel Island on an open-top minibus.

We will first head towards the famous Portas da Cidade, one of the most iconic landmarks in Ponta Delgada. After learning about these arches, we will visit the neighborhood of Sao Roque to admire the facade of the church and make a brief stop at the volcanic beach of Milicias for photos.

Next, we will stop at the Fort of Sao Caetano do Populo, which is connected to the 18th century War of the Spanish Succession. We will then visit the old town to appreciate the church of Sao Sebastiao.

We will explore the port area of Ponta Delgada, where we will look at the fort of Sao Bras and the church of Senhor Santo Cristo, a highly visited temple in the Azores.

The last stop will be the Padre Sena Freitas garden, where we will discuss its namesake. After a 45-55 minutes tour, we will conclude and return to the meeting point.
