Discover the volcanic landscapes of the northeast of Sao Miguel, visiting geographical sites such as the towns of Povoação and Nordeste.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, meet at João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada to begin the trip to the coast of São Miguel. The scenic route includes brief stops at charming fishing villages like Ribeira Grande and the Santa Iria viewpoint.

Next, we will visit Ribeira dois Caldeirões for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, experiencing regional flavors.

We will then proceed to Nordeste, where we will enjoy views of the Arnel Lighthouse from a nearby viewpoint. The tour highlights additional iconic viewpoints in Nordeste, such as Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, before heading to the coastal village of Povoação.

Finally, we will return to Ponta Delgada, stopping at the Salto do Cavalo viewpoint for stunning views of Lagoa das Furnas.
