Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada and head off toward the coast of São Miguel. Along this scenic route, we'll encounter charming fishing villages like Ribeira Grande, where we'll make a brief stop, and then continue to the stunning Santa Iria viewpoint.

Our journey will then lead us to Ribeira dois Caldeirões, where we'll savor a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, experiencing the flavors of the region.

Next, we'll venture on to Nordeste, which, as its name suggests, is situated in the northeast of São Miguel. From one of the nearby viewpoints, we'll admire views of the captivating Arnel Lighthouse.

As we continue our route, we'll encounter other iconic viewpoints of Nordeste, such as Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, before reaching another picturesque coastal village: Povoação.

Finally, we'll make our way back to Ponta Delgada, passing through the scenic Salto do Cavalo viewpoint, where we'll be treated to a breathtaking view of Lagoa das Furnas.
