São Miguel: 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo (8 hours)

Explore the volcanic landscapes of São Miguel Island, starting at Lagoa do Fogo. Learn about this volcanic lagoon and its surrounding wildlife. Visit viewpoints at Lagoa das Sete Cidades, a twin lake with ecological diversity. Enjoy a buffet meal at a traditional restaurant before returning to accommodation by 4:30 pm.

Day 2: Furnas & Tea Plantations (8 hours)

Visit Vila Franca do Campo, then head to Furnas to explore volcanic calderas, fumaroles, and a lagoon. Try the traditional dish cozido à portuguesa and have the option to bathe in a hot spring. End the day at Gorreana tea plantations, tasting their famous tea infusions. Tour ends back at the starting point by 4:30 pm.

Itinerary changes

The order of the tour may vary, with Furnas possibly visited on the first day and Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo on the second day. Confirmation of the order will be provided the day before the activity.
