When making your reservation for the private tour of São Miguel, you can choose from three different options. All tours begin at 9 am at your hotel and include lunch and an English-speaking guide. They end back at your accommodation around 5 pm.

West Coast Tour

This option begins with a visit to the Vista do Rei viewpoint for views of the Sete Cidades crater and the Azul and Verde lakes. Next, we'll visit the Mata do Canário Natural Park, known for its small lakes. Lunch will be in Lagoa, followed by a visit to the historic center of Ribeira Grande, with buildings from the 17th century. The tour concludes at Pico da Barrosa for views of Lagoa do Fogo.

Northeastern São Miguel tour

This tour explores the northeast, characterized as the oldest geological area with forests, mountains, waterfalls, and viewpoints for sea views. We will visit charming villages and local handicraft stores to learn about traditional techniques. Lunch will be in Achadinha, followed by a visit to the village of Povoação, where the first settlers arrived.

Southern São Miguel tour

The tour starts towards the south, in the Furnas Valley. A stop at Lagoa will allow you to admire local ceramic handicrafts, followed by Vila Franca do Campo, the former capital. In Furnas, enjoy a traditional lunch called cozido na Caldeira, cooked in volcanic soil, and finish at Pico do Ferro for panoramic valley views.
