São Miguel Private Tour
When making your reservation for the private tour of São Miguel, you'll be able to choose from three different options. All tours start at 9 am at your hotel and include lunch and an English-speaking guide. They all end back at your accommodation around 5 pm.
West Coast Tour
This option begins with a visit to the Vista do Rei viewpoint for views of the Sete Cidades crater and Azul and Verde lakes. Next, the tour proceeds to the Mata do Canário Natural Park. The day continues with lunch in Lagoa and a visit to the historic center of Ribeira Grande, featuring 17th-century buildings. Finally, we will reach Pico da Barrosa for views of Lagoa do Fogo.
Northeastern São Miguel tour
This tour takes you to the northeast side of the island, the oldest geological area where you can find forests, mountains, waterfalls, and viewpoints. The tour includes visits to charming villages and local handicraft stores. Lunch is in Achadinha, after which we will continue to the village of Povoação, where the first settlers landed.
Southern São Miguel tour
This tour begins on the south side of the island, heading to the Furnas Valley. Stops include the village of Lagoa for its ceramic handicrafts and Vila Franca do Campo, the former capital. In Furnas, enjoy a traditional lunch called cozido na Caldeira, cooked with volcanic heat, followed by a visit to the Pico do Ferro viewpoint.
