Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo

We'll meet at Avenida João Bosco Mota Amaral and head out of Ponta Delgada towards one of the island's most beautiful spots: the Lagoa do Fogo lagoon. This crater lake is a natural treasure of the Azores, known for its stunning views and pristine surroundings. The area is protected to maintain its beauty, prohibiting construction for several kilometres.

After exploring the Lagoa do Fogo from various viewpoints, we'll continue northwest to see another of Sao Miguel's natural treasures: the Sete Cidades lagoon and crater, which means seven cities.

The Lagoa das Sete Cidades is divided into the Blue Lagoon and the Green Lagoon. We will cross the bridge connecting both halves to appreciate the contrasting colors of this natural masterpiece.

We will take a break to enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, offering a taste of the island's cuisine. Following lunch, we'll travel along the southwestern coastline to return to Ponta Delgada.
