We'll meet at Avenida João Bosco Mota Amaral and head out of Ponta Delgada towards the Lagoa do Fogo lagoon, a natural treasure of the Azores known as a crater lake. We will learn about the formation of this volcanic geography while admiring the views of the lagoon and its surroundings. Local authorities prohibit construction within several kilometers to maintain its beauty.

After enjoying several viewpoints of Lagoa do Fogo, we will continue northwest to see another natural treasure: the Sete Cidades lagoon and crater, which means "seven cities."

The Lagoa das Sete Cidades lagoon consists of two halves, the Blue Lagoon and the Green Lagoon. We will cross the bridge connecting both halves to appreciate the contrasting colors.

We will stop for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant to experience the island's cuisine. After lunch, we'll follow the southwestern coastline back to Ponta Delgada.
