Whale Watching + Vila Franca Islet Excursion

We'll meet at the designated time at the Ponta Delgada seaport, where we'll board a boat that will take us out to sea. Get your cameras ready, because we'll spend three hours watching the Atlantic whales and dolphins.

Ponta Delgada has many years of experience in protecting and respecting marine wildlife. During the boat trip, the guide will explain the importance of this work and provide facts about the different species we may see. You'll observe the jumps of dolphins and the splashes of whales and orcas.

Afterwards, we'll return to the port of Ponta Delgada for a transfer to Vila Franca do Campo, where we'll have lunch at a local restaurant. The menu includes a starter, a fish starter, a dessert, and coffee or tea.

After lunch, we'll continue our boat trip to explore the islet of Vila Franca, which features a nature reserve and a volcanic crater. This island is recognized as the Princess Ring.

We'll also have the opportunity to observe seabirds that nest on its shores, making Vila Franca an Important Bird Area as designated by BirdLife International.

Finally, we'll return to the port of Ponta Delgada, concluding the excursion after a total of 7.5 hours.
