Ferry Service between Pontevedra and Ons Island

Your ferry to Ons Island will set sail at the scheduled time from the Pontevedra port. Following a scenic journey lasting about an hour, you'll reach Ons, recognized as one of the gems within the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park. Upon arrival at the dock, you'll have the freedom to explore this natural paradise at your own pace.

A key highlight of Ons Island is its breathtaking Melide Beach. Various trails offer opportunities for leisurely walks, leading you to the island's lighthouse nestled inland. The mesmerizing views will enchant you as soon as you set foot on the island!

Visitor Authorization for Ons Island

As Ons Island is a protected area with a regulated daily visitor limit, obtaining authorization from the Xunta de Galicia is a prerequisite for your visit.

Please note that during the peak season (from May 15 to September 15 and Easter), you must bring your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to visit Ons. We will facilitate this by sending it via email as soon as possible. Outside of this peak period, you need not worry as the guide will provide the authorization on the day of the excursion.

If any participant cannot join the activity, please inform us at least 15 days in advance and provide the name of the individual who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can update their records accordingly.

Guided Experience on Ons Island

From October 1 to May 14, your ferry ticket also includes a one-hour guided tour of Ons Island. Please be aware that this tour will not take place during the 10 days of the Easter period, specifically from the Friday before Easter to Easter Sunday.

Return Time

The ferry departs from Ons Island back to Pontevedra at 7 PM. If you wish to arrange a return on a different day, please contact us.
