Condor Watching in Puracé + San Juan Hot Springs Tour

Pickup is at 7:40 am from your hotel in Popayán to travel to the Puracé National Natural Park, situated in the central mountain range. We will begin our ascent through various indigenous villages, where you will see crops such as potatoes, carrots, and strawberries and observe local farmers extracting milk in the morning. The western mountain range can be seen from a distance.

By 10 am, we will arrive at the condor stone for an offering. Here, we will watch the Andean condors from a distance of 8 metres (26 feet) for at least one hour.

We will continue through the valley of the frailejones, known for its slow-growing plants, before passing the Bedón waterfall at 3600 metres (11811 feet) and stopping at the viewpoint of the Andulbio lagoon.

The tour will proceed to the Pozo de los Deseos in Danta, culminating at the thermal baths of San Juan.

In this natural setting, you will have time to relax, followed by a typical lunch at a local restaurant featuring grilled fish or meat with rice, salad, soup, patacones, and a hot drink.

After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Popayán, arriving around 6 pm.
