The Puracé volcano is an excellent location in Colombia for condor watching. This tour includes a visit to the renowned San Juan hot springs.

Pickup is at 7:40 am from your hotel in Popayán to visit Puracé National Natural Park in the central mountain range. The journey includes climbing through various indigenous villages, observing the local agriculture with crops such as potatoes, carrots, and strawberries, and witnessing morning milk extraction by farmers and indigenous people. You'll also see the western mountain range from a distance.

By around 10 am, we will reach the condor stone for an offering, where you can observe the Andean condors from a distance of 8 meters (26 feet) for at least one hour.

The tour continues through the valley of the frailejones, a native plant that grows one centimeter each year. We will pass the Bedón waterfall at 3600 meters (11811 feet) and a viewpoint to see the Andulbio lagoon.

We will also see the Pozo de los Deseos in the Danta watering place before arriving at the thermal baths of San Juan, where you can relax. Following this, enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant, featuring grilled fish or meat with rice, salad, soup, patacones, and a hot drink.

Return to your hotel in Popayán is expected by 6 pm.
