Day Trip to the San Agustin Archaeological Park

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Popayán at the designated time. You'll need to get up early for this trip. After a 2.5-hour drive in an off-road vehicle, we will have a stop in the town of Isnos for a traditional-style breakfast. Following this, we'll continue our journey to the Archaeological Park of San Agustin.

Upon arrival, we'll undertake a tour of the archaeological site, which is recognized as a World Heritage Site. You will see over 500 statues carved in volcanic stone located in the upper basin of the Magdalena River, making it the largest megalithic complex and the largest necropolis on the continent.

After the 4-hour guided tour, we will visit a restaurant for a meal consisting of a main course with rice, soup, or salad. We will then return to Popayan.

The entire excursion lasts approximately 15 hours.
