Day Trip to the San Agustin Archaeological Park

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Popayán at the designated time. After a 2.5-hour drive on an off-roading vehicle, we will stop in the town of Isnos for a traditional-style breakfast before continuing to the Archaeological Park of San Agustin.

Upon arrival, you will take a guided tour of the archaeological site, exploring the secrets of pre-Columbian civilizations. The Archaeological Park of San Agustin is recognized as a World Heritage Site.

The tour includes viewing over 500 statues carved in volcanic stone, which are located in the upper basin of the Magdalena River. This site is noted for being the largest megalithic complex and largest necropolis on the continent.

After the 4-hour guided tour, we will enjoy a meal consisting of a main course, rice, soup, or salad at a restaurant before returning to Popayan.

The excursion concludes at your hotel after a total of 15 hours.
