Our journey begins at 10 am as we set off from Popayán, making our way southeast to the Salinas hot springs in Coconuco. Here, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the serene spa environment and discover the natural wonders that encircle the hot springs, while also learning about the traditional practices of the region's Indigenous People.

You'll enjoy leisure time to relax in the therapeutic waters, absorbing the health benefits they provide. To cap off this delightful outing, we will savor a traditional lunch together.

Excursion to Silvia (7 hours)

Our expedition to Silvia commences at 8 am. We will travel for an hour to reach this charming town nestled in the Colombian Central Cordillera, often referred to as the Switzerland of America. Explore its vibrant streets and significant sites, including the Parish of Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá and the local marketplace.

After enjoying lunch, we’ll visit the Guambia region, notable for its rich Indigenous heritage. Here, we'll engage with a Misak or Guambiano community and have the chance to meet local inhabitants, gaining insights into their traditional garments. We aim to conclude our day around 4 pm.

Puracé Volcano Adventure (13 hours)

This tour begins bright and early at 5 am as we journey southeast towards the Puracé National Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1979.

Upon arrival, local Indigenous guides will greet us with a warm drink before we embark on a hiking adventure to the Puracé volcano. For approximately five hours, we will traverse the volcano's slopes, uncovering remarkable natural features within the park, including the noteworthy Kokonukos volcano chain, with the iconic Sugar Loaf as a highlight.

At the peak, you’ll have a moment to rest and take in the breathtaking views. By 3 pm, our itinerary takes us to the hot springs by the Puracé volcano, where you can indulge in a soothing bath. Following this rejuvenating experience, we will begin our return to Popayán.

Andean Condor Flight Observation (11 hours)

We kick off this private excursion at 7 am, traveling to the Puracé National Natural Park, situated at an elevation of 3,400 meters. Once there, we will embark on a walking tour to marvel at the stunning vistas and diverse wildlife native to the Colombian Central Cordillera.

During our explorations, we will venture to prime locations for witnessing the majestic flight of the Andean condor, an iconic avian species of Colombia. Be prepared to be fascinated as we share intriguing information about these incredible birds!

This private excursion will also include visits to the Frailejones Valley, the Bedón Waterfall, and the lookout point at the Andulbio Lagoon. To conclude our day, we will relax at the San Juan hot springs, enjoying a tranquil soak.

To revitalize, lunch will be served at a local eatery, after which we will proceed back to Popayán.
