Travel to the Salvajina Reservoir and discover the nature of the Cauca River in a different way with this excursion from Popayán. We'll take you on a boat ride and you'll have free time to swim.

Salvajina Reservoir Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Popayán and travel north until we reach the Salvajina Reservoir, in the middle of the Cauca River basin.

After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination and start walking around the area to admire this great hydroelectric plant. First, we'll visit the Salvajina waterfall and go up to its viewpoint for views of the reservoir.

Next, we'll take a boat ride around the dam, where the guide will share details about its construction and its significance for the indigenous communities in the Cauca region.

After returning to land, we will enjoy a traditional meal of fish, chicken, or grilled meat. Finally, you'll have free time to swim in the Salvajina Reservoir.

At 5 pm, we'll regroup and travel back to Popayán, concluding the tour at approximately 7 pm.
