Porec Free Tour
This free tour of Porec begins at the specified time from Trg Slobode Square, located in front of the Church of Our Lady of the Angels.
After visiting this renowned church, we'll walk along Ulica Decumanus, the main street of Porec's old town. We will see the Peterokutna Kula, a pentagonal defensive tower from the 15th century.
Next, we will stop at the Romanesque House, an ancient medieval building noted for its masonry. Nearby, we will visit the Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The intricate mosaics and the basilica's significance in early Christian architecture contribute to its designation.
We will continue our tour by exploring the remains of the ancient Roman temple of Neptune, constructed when the city was known as Parentium. During this pause, we will discuss the imperial history of this strategically significant Adriatic region.
Our 1.5-hour tour will conclude at Trg Marafor, the oldest square in Porec.
