Porec Complimentary Tour

Our adventure begins at the designated hour from Trg Slobode Square, located right in front of the remarkable Church of Our Lady of the Angels.

As we appreciate the beauty of this exquisite temple, recognized as one of the finest on the Istrian peninsula, we will stroll along Ulica Decumanus, which serves as the primary thoroughfare of Porec's historic district. Our route will then lead us to the Peterokutna Kula, a five-sided fortification that dates back to the 15th century.

Continuing our exploration, we will pause at the Romanesque House, a medieval structure notable for its distinctive stonework. Close by stands the Euphrasian Basilica, a site recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its elaborate mosaics and significance in the realm of early Christian architecture highlight its esteemed status.

As we progress, we will uncover the remnants of the ancient Roman temple dedicated to Neptune, constructed during the era when the city was known as Parentium. This interlude will provide insights into the region's imperial history, emphasizing its crucial strategic position along the Adriatic coast.

To conclude our 1.5-hour journey, we will wrap up our complimentary tour at Trg Marafor, recognized as the oldest square in Porec.
