Che Guevara route 3 Day Tour

We will follow in the footsteps of the revolutionary leader on his crusade through Bolivia on this 3-day tour along the Che Guevara route. You will see places like La Higuera.

Che Guevara route 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Santa Cruz - Samaipata - Vallegrande

At 6:00 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. First, we’ll head to Samaipata to visit the Fort of Samaipata, an important archaeological site. We will walk among its constructions and observe figures sculpted on its walls. Our tour will continue in a museum housing artefacts from excavations, followed by lunch at a local restaurant, which includes a starter and a main course. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the washing place of the hospital Nuestro Señor de Malta and the Che monument and museum. Dinner and overnight at the hotel will follow.

Day 2: Vallegrande - Pucara - La Higuera

At 7:00 am, we will have breakfast and leave for La Higuera, where Che was held after being captured. We will travel the road known as the Che route, stopping at Pucara along the way. Upon arrival at La Higuera, we’ll see the school where Che was imprisoned and executed on October 9, 1968. After lunch, we will return to Vallegrande.

Day 3: Vallegrande - Santa Cruz

On the last day, after breakfast, we’ll return to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, arriving at your hotel around 4:00 pm.

Tour ending in Sucre

To continue the tour to Sucre, the first two days' itinerary remains the same, but you will stay overnight in a hotel in Villa Serrano. On the third day, after breakfast at 8:00 am, we will head to Sucre, stopping in Tomina to see its 18th-century church and for lunch, arriving in Sucre around 2:00 pm.
