Che Guevara route 3 Day Tour

We will follow in the footsteps of the revolutionary leader on his crusade through Bolivia on this 3-day tour along the Che Guevara route. You will see places like La Higuera.

Che Guevara route 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Santa Cruz - Samaipata - Vallegrande

At 6:00 am we will pick you up at your hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra to start our 3-day tour along the Che Guevara route, following the path of Che and his Bolivian National Liberation Army (ELN).

First, we’ll head to Samaipata, where the ELN briefly took control. We will visit the Fort of Samaipata and a museum displaying excavated artefacts. Then, we’ll proceed to Vallegrande for lunch at a local restaurant, consisting of a starter and a main course. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the washing place of the hospital Nuestro Señor de Malta and the monument and museum of Che. Evening dinner and hotel stay will follow.

Day 2: Vallegrande - Pucara - La Higuera

At 7:00 am, we will have breakfast and leave for La Higuera, where Che was captured. En route, we will stop at Pucara, noted in Che's Diary. At La Higuera, we’ll see the school where Che was imprisoned and executed on October 9, 1968. After lunch, we will return to Vallegrande.

Day 3: Vallegrande - Santa Cruz

On the last day, after breakfast, we’ll start our journey back to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, arriving at your hotel around 4:00 pm.

Tour ending in Sucre

For those wishing to extend the tour to Sucre, the first two days remain the same, with overnight accommodation in Villa Serrano on the second night. The third day begins with breakfast at 8:00 am, followed by a stop in Tomina before reaching Sucre around 2:00 pm.
