San Javier & Concepción Day Trip
Pickup is at 7 am, followed by a drive to the villages of Cotoca, Pailas, Paillón, and Los Troncos, significant in the Bolivian Jesuit Missions. You'll learn about the reductions founded in the late 17th century aimed at evangelizing the New World, with six towns in Bolivia listed as World Heritage Sites.
By approximately 11:30 am, we’ll arrive at San Javier, founded in 1691, where we’ll explore the oldest mission in Bolivia and visit the Mission Museum. Afterward, we’ll travel to Concepción for a traditional lunch, followed by an exploration of this 18th-century location, including local arts and crafts workshops.
San José Day Trip
Pickup is at 7:30 am, followed by a 4-hour drive to the Jesuit Mission of San José. Upon arrival, we’ll tour the church and museum. Next, enjoy a traditional meal before traveling to Santa Cruz la Vieja, stopping at a viewpoint for views of the Chiquitano Valley. The final stop involves visiting a local handicraft center to learn about the craftsmanship of its residents.
