Jesuit Missions Day Trip

San Javier & Concepción Day Trip
Pick-up is at 7 am, followed by a drive through the villages of Cotoca, Pailas, Paillón, and Los Troncos, significant to the Bolivian Jesuit Missions.
Learn about these reductions, founded at the end of the 17th century for evangelization, with Bolivia housing six towns as World Heritage Sites.
Arriving at San Javier around 11:30 am, visit the oldest mission in Bolivia and the Mission Museum. Afterward, travel to Concepción for a traditional lunch.
Explore this 18th-century site and its arts and crafts workshops, where local Chiquitanos produce traditional items to support the mission economy.
San José Day Trip
Depart at 7:30 am for the Jesuit Mission of San José. After a 4-hour drive through Bolivia’s countryside, arrive to visit the church and museum.
Enjoy a traditional meal, then travel to Santa Cruz la Vieja. Stop at a viewpoint for views of the Chiquitano Valley and visit the local handicraft center to learn about the residents' work.
