Péligre Lake & Bassin Zim Tour

At 8 am, pick up will occur at your hotel along the Arcadins Coast or Port-au-Prince, followed by a 2-hour journey towards thePéligre Dam.

A stop will be made at the 72-metre high wall to learn about the gravity dam on the Artibonite River and to admire thePéligre Lake while enjoying breakfast, including coffee, tea, and fresh fruit.

Next, we will visit a school in Hinche to meet students and learn about the Haitian education system. A donation of 1 USD will be made to the school for each tour reservation.

Following this, we will proceed toBassin Zim to explore its caves, view indigenous engravings, and swim in the waterfall, which is believed to have healing properties by locals.

The tour will conclude with a visit to a local restaurant for a traditional Haitian lunch, including a main dish, dessert, and a drink, before returning to your hotel by 6 pm.

This tour includes pick-up at hotels in Port-au-Prince or the Arcadins Coast. If your hotel is outside these areas, we will contact you to arrange an alternative meeting point.
