Port-au-Prince Tour
At 8 am, pickup will be from your hotel, proceeding first to the National Palace, the official residence of the Haitian President. Here, you'll witness the damage from the earthquake on January 12, 2010, which destroyed the palace. The tour will cover the building's 18th-century history and its prior reconstruction in the 20th century.
The tour continues to Champs de Mars park and Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral. Next, visit the Iron Market, where various items including home gadgets and Vudu figures can be found, as Vudu is an essential religion in Haiti.
Your next stop will be the Barbancourt Rum Distillery, where you will learn about how the island's traditional drink is produced. This rum has been recognized as one of the top five rums in the world.
The tour concludes with a view of the city from L'Observatoire restaurant, where you'll enjoy a traditional Haitian meal that includes a main dish, dessert, and a drink. After the meal, return to your hotel by 3 pm.
