Saut d'Eau & Artibonite Tour

At 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Príncipe and take a minibus towards the north of the island.

We'll drive for 60 kilometers to reach the town of Saut d'Eau to visit its waterfalls. Here, we'll learn about Catholic legend of the Virgin Mary's appearance and Vudu beliefs regarding the Erzulie goddess.

Next, we'll continue to the Artibonite River, vital for irrigation and Haiti's hydroelectricity. We'll see the Crête à Pierrot fort, a site of a historic Haitian battle, and stop at Kay Mancia for a traditional lunch with a main dish, dessert, and a drink.

Afterwards, we'll visit the Petite Rivière school to learn about Haiti's education system. For each booking, 1 USD will be donated to the institution. Then we'll stop at a rice plantation and visit one of the beaches along the Arcadins Coast to relax under the Caribbean sun.

The tour will conclude back at your hotel at 6 pm.
