Saut d'Eau & Artibonite Tour

At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Príncipe and proceed by minibus towards the north of the island.

We will drive 60 kilometres to reach the town of Saut d'Eau to visit its waterfalls. Here, we will learn about the Catholic legend of the Virgin Mary's appearance on a palm leaf and Vudu beliefs regarding the goddess Erzulie inhabiting these waters.

Next, we will continue to the Artibonite River, vital for irrigation and hydroelectricity supply in Haiti. We will see the Crête à Pierrot fort, site of a famous Haitian battle, and stop at Kay Mancia for a traditional lunch, which includes a main dish, dessert, and a drink.

Afterwards, we will visit the Petite Rivière school to learn about the Haitian education system. A donation of 1 USD will be made to the institution for each person that reserves this tour. We will then stop at a rice plantation and take you to a beach along the Arcadins Coast to relax under the Caribbean sun.

The tour concludes back at your hotel at 6 pm.
