On this tour of the Caroni Bird Sanctuary from Port of Spain, we will visit Trinidad and Tobago's largest mangrove, home to various wildlife species.

Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tour

Pickup will be from the hotel selected in Port of Spain to travel to the swampy area of the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Participants will explore the native flora and fauna of Trinidad and Tobago.

Upon arrival, participants will board a boat to discover this natural wonder. With a knowledgeable guide, insights will be shared regarding animal behavior in the late afternoon hours.

The tour aims to spot the scarlett ibis, known for its long beak and striking red color. Observers may witness its movements through trees, representing one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago.

Attendees should also look for other animals in the treetops and on the forest floor. The guide will help identify various species and describe the habitats of animals such as alligators, anteaters, owls, and snakes.

After 2 hours of exploring nature, the tour will conclude with a return to the hotel in Port of Spain.
