On this Gasparee Caves guided tour, we will explore crystal-clear waters illuminated by sunlight and calcified rock walls, featuring stalagmite formations 30 metres (100 feet) underground.

Description

Pickup will occur from your selected hotel in Port of Spain at the designated time. The destination is Gasparee Island (Gaspar Grande), situated between Trinidad and Venezuela. The journey will include a boat ride where lifejackets will be provided, passing by the ruins of an old whaling port before reaching the island.

Upon arrival, you will notice the limestone ground and walk to the caves, where you can view artillery ruins from the Second World War. Inside the Gasparee Caves, you will observe stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations and eventually reach a natural pool of turquoise water, 30 metres (100 feet) below ground, illuminated by sunlight entering through an opening in the cave.

The return journey by boat to Port of Spain will take approximately 4 hours, concluding with a drop-off at the starting point.
