On this Gasparee Caves guided tour, participants will explore stunning natural formations beneath the ground.
Description
Pickup will be at the specified time from your chosen hotel in Port of Spain for a trip to Gasparee Island, located between Trinidad and Venezuela. The boat journey includes a view of an old whaling port and its ruins.
Upon arrival at Gasparee Island, guests will observe the unique limestone ground and visit sites of artillery ruins from the Second World War. The tour proceeds into the Gasparee Caves to see impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations. Visitors will reach a depth of 30 metres (100 feet) where a beautiful natural pool of turquoise water awaits, illuminated by sun rays through a cave opening.
The return journey to Port of Spain is by boat, concluding the tour in approximately 4 hours, with drop-off at the original pickup location.
