On this cruise tour from Portimão, you'll visit the Benagil Caves, the most famous sea grottos in the Algarve. You'll also enjoy a barbecue on the beach!

Benagil Caves Cruise + BBQ

At 10 am, we'll set sail from the Vasco da Gama dock in Portimão to the Benagil Caves.

During this sea adventure in the south of Portugal aboard the catamaran Ophelia, we'll sail off the coast of Ferragudo. On the coastline of this village, we'll see Praia Grande and the Fort of São João, a notable castle over the Atlantic.

After these views from the boat, we'll continue along the coast of Algar Seco and dock in front of the Benagil Caves, which you'll explore at your leisure with provided small boats.

We'll disembark in one of the coves in Benagil. While the crew prepares lunch on the beach, you'll have free time for swimming and paddle surfing. The menu includes a barbecue of different grilled meats, bread, traditional Algarve salad, and seasonal fruit. An open bar will be available with white or red wine, orange soda, or mineral water.

After lunch, we'll return to the boat and head back to Portimão, arriving at the departure dock at 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

In case of adverse weather, the maritime police may prohibit access to the Benagil Cave. If this happens, you'll have more free time for swimming, aquatic sports, and the barbecue on the beach.
